About 664 years ago in China a mysterious disease, plague the entire country. Many had no idea as to why this was happening, but little did they know this all started with a disease carrying flea. Black Death took over China when fleas started to use humans as there host, after the rodent and animal population decreased. The fleas then spread bacteria called bacillus, which caused people to become extremely sick and experience these symptoms such as. “Fevers, dark red splotches on the skin known as Rosies, caused by epidermal hemorrhaging, and grossly swollen, orange – sized lymph nodes which was known as buboes at the neck, armpits, and groin(Encounters in world history2006)”. Due to the swelling their limbs (arms & legs) turned black and that’s how the disease got its name.
