The first call, an organization wants to interview a prospect, the second call offering the prospect a position, from the first call a light should come, what kind of culture does this organization have? An organization’s culture is one of the most important items to know about before employment begins. When the prospect arrives at the location of the interview the first thing that will probably be seen is the organization’s logo, which usually stands out, describes or depicts the industry that the organization is in. The logo is just one of the artifacts that an organization has and an artifact is one of three layers of an organizations culture which will be covered in this paper. This paper will define and give a few examples of the layers that an organization’s culture is built on and how the culture shows a person the way to perceive, think, and feel about an organization (Brown, 1995).
