My view has changed immensely. I was raised in a very narrow minded, religious family. I even had an uncle, who after coming out to the family, was outcast. This event struck me hard and stuck with me until I was able to graduate high school and go out on my own. After being stationed overseas in many different countries, I learned that the US is one of the most closed minded countries out there as it pertains to sex and relationships. In other countries, it is perfectly acceptable for men to walk holding hands, and not even be gay. Also, to be stationed in some pretty rough times with gay and lesbian troops, made me see how different they are not from anyone else. They love, loose, hurt, and pursue happiness just like the rest of us, and we have no right as citizens of Earth to deny that to them.
