My company implemented what is call Employee Action and tuition Refund, basically it entails is that it's up to us as employees to look after one another and come up with solutions for problems we face and find a way implement it and if you decide to go to school, the company can pay for 70% of the tuition costs. Example if someone calls in sick, it's up to us to find a way to cover that persons work. Another example is the Christmas party, the organization allows us to pick a place that not too expensive and vote for a employee of the year( co-workers pick). It has been successful and unsuccessful because some employees tend to take advantage of the situation. Example some call in sick for 3 or 4 days in a row all they have to do is provide a doctor's note and everything is fine, most the time they not sick and come back with nothing to worry about because they someone has been doing there work.
