It would affect in the sense that everyone's values, preferences, and laws differ from one another and to come up with an ethical decision that pleases everyone is impossible. Protected values remain the same or increase, preferences  may change, so does the law, so to come up with consistency, your decisions have to change as well. When you have protected values, it's hard for you to nudge regardless of the benefits, it's things or position that you hold close. My strategies would be to let everyone know that you cannot please everyone and you won't but that the decision being made will take everyone point of view into consideration, to come up with something that doesn't infringe on anyone's values.
