Art is constantly changing and evolving. However, as time changes the same subject matter continues to fascinate artists over and over again throughout history. The Eiffel Tower is in countless photos, paintings, sculptures, etc. The Roman Coliseum, angels, the oceans, and the Pyramids of Giza are all examples of things that have been the subject of countless art pieces. One of these items that artists have re-imagined is David from the Bible. The tale of how he conquered a giant warrior with a simple flick of a stone always captures people. Again and again artists have revived David in their work. Two of the most famous of these artworks are done by Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni during the Renaissance period and Gian Lorenzo Bemini during the Baroque period.
