Disney’s ITIL® Journey

The Walt Disney Company adopted ITIL to manage their extensive IT resources in the Theme Parks & Resorts segment.  The Theme Parks & Resorts segment accounts for $10.7 billion, which is 30% of the company’s total revenue, which includes 11 parks, two water parks, 42 resorts, and two cruise ships (Winter, 2010).  The transition to ITIL was no small feat, but Disney managed to implement the ITIL with resounding success.
