  The purpose of teamwork involves working together to achieve a common goal (Axia College, 2011). Health care, like most working environment requires people relying on each other to achieve a common objective. If I have the responsibility for solving a billing issue as head of a billing department; my main focus is to find the root of the problem and avoid the escalation of conflicts. I would address this problem in an assertive and diplomatic way; this will involve using a collaborative style in my approach to meet the needs of the team. I believe this leadership style will become essential in bringing together a variety of viewpoints to reach the best solution.
