This week's main Forum requires you to answer the question completely and correctly to receive full credit.
Provide a brief introduction to your study to remind your classmates what we are reading about here. You will also title your thread accordingly (do not include the week # or your name). This week we talk about the uses of a crosstabulation and the benefits of creating this "snapshot" of your data. Create a crosstab for your data and include in the post. Be sure to explain your findings.
You will also identify the following about your study:
1. Your overall research question;
2. The research hypothesis and null hypothesis
Instructions for all Forums:
Sociology lives when we engage it – we read about it, we discuss it, we debate it, we frame our research questions with it, we put it to the test of empiricism, and every once in a while we build it ourselves. Therefore, the success of this course depends on all of us thoroughly engaging it. One of the most important parts of the course will be the discussions and debates we participate in, in our Forum. These discussions need to be informed by thorough reading of the assigned texts.
Each week, learners will post one initial post per week. This post must demonstrate comprehension of the course materials, the ability to apply that knowledge in the real world, active presence. Learners will engage with the instructor and peers through rich responses to their posts. To motivate engaged discussion, posts are expected to be on time with regular interaction throughout the week. All posts should demonstrate college level writing skills. To promote vibrant discussion as we would in a face to face classroom, formatted citations and references are not required. Quotes should not be used at all, or used sparingly. If you quote a source quotation marks should be used and an APA formatted citation and reference provided.

Assignment 1: Research Guidelines
Complete the following assignment by filling in all pertinent areas of research. You will need to utilize SPSS for this assignment. You may complete this assignment using the variables and topic which you have chosen for your Final Portfolio Project. You will then be able to follow this as a guide as well as a check-point with your instructor. It is essential that you read through all of the feedback regardless of your score. You will be required to submit an SPSS output file with this assignment for credit. However, you must copy and paste all relevant output data into this document for credit. Throughout the assignment you will see places where your tables, charts, and graphs can be placed.
You may need to go back through the document to address formatting issues that may shift as you begin to input your data. Points will be deducted for sloppiness. Please treat this as a professional outline used for a proposal. Use a different, but legible, color font for your responses.
