-Project Human resource management involves identifying and documenting project

roles, responsibilities, and reporting relationships. Acquiring the project team involves

assigning the needed personnel to work on the project. Developing the project team

involves building individual and group skills to enhance project performance. Finally

managing the project involves tracking team member performance, motivating team

members, providing timely feedback, resolving issues and conflicts, and coordinating

changes to help enhance project performance.

Discuss the difference between resource loading and resource leveling, and

provide an example of when you would use each technique.

-Resource loading refers to the amount of individual resources that an existing schedule

requires during specific time periods. You would use this technique when you first

receive the roster containing staff members. This could benefit the job assigning process.

Resource leveling is a technique for resolving resource conflicts by delaying tasks. When

overallocation is taking place, resource leveling is a helpful technique.

A staffing management plan describes when and how people will be added to the project team

and taken off it.

Describe

situations

where

it

would

be

appropriate

to

create

matrix,

a

RACI

chart,

and

a

resource

histogram.

-

It would be appropriate to create a project organizational chart when there is a large amount of

diversity involved within an organization and it needs to be displayed formally. A responsibility

assignment matrix is appropriate to create when the work of the project needs to be mapped to

the people actually doing the work needed. A RACI chart is appropriate when the key roles need

to be presented to the project stakeholders. Finally a resource histogram is appropriate when the

project members need to see what resources are needed for the project.

-Two types of team building activities include physical challenges and psychological challenges.

Military boot camps or boot camps would be an example of a physical activity and the Myers

Briggs or DISC profile would both be example of a psychological challenge.
